RADIANT BARRIER insulation is a reflective insulation system that offers a permanent
way to reduce Energy Costs. Radiant Barrier REFLECTS radiant heat energy
instead of trying to absorb it. A pure aluminum Radiant Barrier will reflect up to 97%
of the radiant heat entering your attic and thus pass less heat into your living area. RADIANT BARRIER
HAS NO R VALUE. Since it acts like "shade" it makes your Existing insulation
more efficient

There are two applications for
installing the Radiant Barrier Foil:
* On the RAFTERS providing a more comfortable living
area and cooling the Attic helping the HVAC work more efficiently.
* On the FLOOR to keep HEAT
OUT of the living area during the summer and HEAT IN during the winter.
The first picture is Rafter
installation. The FOIL acts as the Attic's SHADE lowering the ATTIC TEMP thus
passing less heat on through the insulation. The
second picture shows the foil installed on the FLOOR and RAFTERS.
This application works all year round keeping the attic cool in the summer and preventing Heat Loss during the winter. |
The Product is very strong and
allows for one to store contents on the floor.
Note we use Tape
or paint to mark joists or areas that are "No Step".
